Having first tried to work with another backflow prevention software vendor who was not able to meet their extensive and demanding needs, Hydro Designs, Inc of Troy (HDI), Michigan chose XC2 to manage their municipal operations.
With 50,000 accounts, 200,000 backflow assembly records, and growing quickly, this was a very large task. Previously HDI was managing their accounts with the old "C4" system, which is no longer available and supported. It was necessary to convert over 100 C4 systems and merge them together into a single XC2 System.
HDI now only needs to run a single database on their server, and has immediate access to all water systems or a single system's data.
As well, HDI customers, consisting of municipal water systems in Michigan, Wisconsin and Florida, are able to access XC2 remotely and view the data in XC2 for their own systems.
The "multi-system" option in XC2 is able to automatically filter the data so that the individual municipal customer only sees data pertinent to their system and all other data from other systems is hidden. HDI staff can, however, view a single system's data, or multiple systems at once, performing whatever tasks are needed.
HDI performs hundreds of inspections per week and needs to send out inspection due notices, non-compliance notices, and thousands of test due notices per month. Appropriate letterhead and municipal logos must be printed on the corresponding letters automatically.
XC2 Software is able to handle these demands with ease, excellent performance, and remarkable flexibility for accessing and managing this large volume of data from over 100 separate systems, running a single database, on a single server, with multiple users accessing the system concurrently.
